Participants will: explore how Brainspotting with children and adolescents is similar to and different from Brainspotting with adults; learn to work with children’s developmental processes in clinical Brainspotting; learn creative, spontaneous, and integrative ways of using Brainspotting with children, adolescents and their families and discover how joyful and effective Brainspotting with young people can be. This practical, lively presentation shares the experience of therapists from three continents in adapting Brainspotting to their work with children, adolescents, and their families, in a variety of clinical, cultural, and linguistic settings. Topics include: developmental and relational issues relevant to Brainspotting with this population; working with the Dual Attunement Frame in the context of family and community; integration of Brainspotting with creative arts and play therapies; Brainspotting for sports/arts performance, with youth.
